Uses of Adovas Syrup
Adovas is a non-sedating herbal cough syrup that is free from sugar. It effectively liquefies phlegm and is beneficial for different types of cough and common colds including dry cough, allergic cough, smokers cough, and cough associated with bronchitis. This syrup also soothes throat irritation and provides relief from hoarseness.
Adult Dose:3 teaspoonfuls (15 ml) 2-3 times a day. In acute cough, warm water can be added for better results.Child Dose:Children under 12 years of age: 1-2 teaspoonfuls (5-10 ml) 3 times a day.
No clinically significant drug interactions have been reported.
There is currently no available evidence on any contraindications for Adovas, although patients who have a hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients may experience adverse reactions
The safety of Adovas syrup in pregnancy has not been studied. Therefore, it should be used with caution during pregnancy, considering the benefits to the mother are greater than the risks to the fetus.
Caution is needed if used in pregnancy and lactation.
